Glenn Frey Solo Collection Liner Notes

Liner Notes

Booklet:
Just because your name is on the label doesn't mean you make records by yourself. In my case, I have always wanted, needed, and been given a great amount of help in the creation of my solo work. ¶ I want to thank everyone who played, sang, arranged or pressed record on these songs for their talents and their time. ¶ I want to personally thank my friend and co-writer Jack Tempchin for his kind words and enthusiasm. ¶ I also want to thank my co-producers Elliot Scheiner, Allan Blazek, Jim Ed Norman and Barry Beckett for helping me turn musical ideas into musical reality. ¶ The contributions made by the musicians who played on these records are immeasurable. They played what I could only hear. In particular I want to thank keyboard wizards Jay Oliver and Hawk Wolinski and arrangers Greg Smith and the late Nick Decaro for their outstanding work. ¶ No one has spent more time with me in the last 15 years than my recording engineers Elliot Scheiner, Allan Blazek, Ray Blair and Mike Harlow. Enjoy your time away from me fellas, you've earned it. ¶ Thanks are also due Tom Nixon, Cheryl Doherty, Bob Thompson and Jerry Vaccarino for making it all come together. Last and most important my love and gratitude to Cindy, Taylor, and Deacon for giving everything a new meaning. - G.F. Santa Monica, CA 1995
