Eagles BBC Sessions

The Eagles BBC Sessions
Date: March 20, 1973
Quality: A
Source: Soundboard
Discs: One

Note: This bootleg is also known as "Earlybird." Portions of it also make up the "Early Years / Live at the Paris Theater" bootleg. It's from the BBC special concert plus an outtake or two and an extra track from a Kansas 1976 show with Alex Karras. The exchange between Glenn and Bernie before Witchy Woman is funny. (part of it - Glenn: "Anybody read the book Zelda about F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife?" Bernie:"Who cares about that?")Later, Bernie proclaims "Plastic money is where it's at" before the Earlybird outtake, after he tunes for a couple minutes, then caws during the opening birdcall sound effect. Cute. As for the song from Kansas, check out Alex's 70s slang: "We're groovin' daddy!" "Let's make it!" "Let me get down and groove with you cats!" It's also funny how Glenn complains Alex's not playing fair because his guitar is so big.
